In 1997 In Jesus’ Name Ministries first learned of Vimal’s father, Dr. Kristopher. He ministered as a pastor/evangelist and doctor in a remote rural and tribal area in India, at the foot of the mountains. Naxilites, a rebel group with Communist origins, lived in the nearby mountains creating danger to anyone going into the forests. The people in Dr. Kristopher’s church were very poor, and at his medical clinic, he freely treated the very poor and lepers. He also had a home for elderly, and a school for children of very poor villagers. I was so blessed to visit his church and ministry in 2004. At that time I also met Dr. Kristopher’s son Vimal and daughter Grace. Not long after I had visited Dr. Kristopher he had a sudden and massive heart attack. His son Vimal was with him. Within minutes he was with the Lord. He was only in his 40’s and a great Christian.
Now his son, Vimal, and daughter Grace, are courageously going forward in this wonderful ministry. With the help of a US donor, Grace had been able to complete five years of medical training. She is hoping soon to resume the medical aspect of her father’s work. While Grace has been in medical college, Vimal has been carrying the weight of the ministry. He was only 20 years old, and Grace 18, when they suddenly lost this great man as their father. When I first meet Vimal and Grace at their father, Dr. Kristopher’s church, they sang together about the Lord. I thought at the time, “I have never seen such godly young people before in my life.” They are our son and daughter in Christ. They are truly a son and daughter of God.
Please take a few minutes to read about the ministry of Vimal. We have known this godly young man for a decade. He needs our love, prayers, and financial help to minister the love of Christ to the people of India in this remote area. Court Wood
Most loving greetings in Jesus Precious name.
I am very thankful to you for standing with my father, Brother Kristopher and my family. From the beginning of his ministry, you have helped us carry the burden that God had laid upon us. I personally thank you for continuing to stand with us, even after his passing. With him being the major support for our family and ministry, it wouldn’t have been possible to carry the torch passed on to us. We will be forever grateful to you and all the people who have contributed to this ministry. My sister Grace becoming a doctor is one of the great fruit of which your donors are responsible for. Without your investment in her life for the past five years and more, this would never have been imaginable. By faith we can
