Four years ago, a dear American brother, Terry, was in our office delivering bottled water, was curious about “what we did here” and noticed a photo of Sanjeeva on my screen saver of my computer. He asked: “Who is that?” After I told him, he immediately reached in his pocket and gave me a gift to forward to Sanjeeva. Soon Terry began a private campaign to help raise the money needed to build a home/church for Sanjeeva. Other wonderful Christian families we knew joined in to help. Two years ago, Terry traveled to India with me to lay the cornerstone, and pray, on a small plot of land purchased for the future church. In January our son Walt and I were honored to be at the dedication of Sanjeeva’s partially completed house/church building. Although there is still work to be done, we were blessed to be at the first worship service in the building. Would you pray about joining your heart and hands with Pastor P. Sanjeeva Rao and our other American brethren in completing the construction of his house/church. $3,000 is needed to complete the doors, windows, plastering, and compound walls. Another $3,000 is needed to pay off two $1,500 loans he needed to take out during critical construction needed last year before the monsoon rains began. To date, precious American donors have given $8,673 to bring the construction goals to this date.
Pastor Sanjeeva will respond to you with a beautiful letter personally written by him and his wife, thanking you for your love and your help.
While building the meeting place, Pastor Sanjeeva is also helping the poor and handicapped brethren in his congregation. He faithfully expresses his love and graditude to the Lord and to those who help.
“Today I posted (mailed) letters to our precious donors. Really they are a great help towards our congregation. All those receiving this kind help convey their gratitude…. We have been providing medicines, clothes, bread and needs to the poor and handicapped in our congregation. They feel so happy to pray for our American brethren, and for America, and also to remember you all in their daily devotions and in the Gospel meetings.”
Your beloved brother in His service,
P. Sanjeeva Rao
